Ladybug Cake

A client asked me to make a cake for her daughter's first birthday. She sent me a picture of the plates they were using and I tried to match the theme and color scheme. The cake is a white with fresh, sliced strawberries in the middle. I am always trying to find ways to make more elements on my cakes edible, so the ladybugs are made of rice krispy treats, covered with marshmallow fondant.

A Star is Born Shower Cake

I made this cake for my friend, Autumn's baby shower. She is having a girl, but fruffy pink is not her style. She came up with "A Star is Born" theme and had movie decorations and games. I made this cake to fit that theme, and I think it is my favorite shower cake I've done. The little movie camera came out so cute. The cake was chocolate with raspberry filling. I had a good time at the shower and I am so excited for Autumn's little girl to arrive.

Baby Girl Shower Cake

Last weekend I made this cake for a baby shower. The customer just said to make something girly. This is pretty girly. The cake is marble with a chocolate cream inside and frosted with whipped cream frosting. I decorated with fondant ribbon roses and baby.

Happy Easter 2010

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter Sunday!! 

Here are some cupcakes that I did for Joe to take to work with him on Saturday.

Saturday before Easter is the day my family has always celebrated the Easter bunny so that Easter Sunday can be worshiped in the true meaning of Easter.  Kami, Collin and Carlee came over for an egg hunt and the Easter bunny left Collin and Carlee's Easter baskets here at my house!  Imagine that!!!  They had a great time looking for 66 plastic eggs full of candy and money!!  Wish I didn't forget to take pics of it though!!  Sunday was spent watching conference, and going to Kami's for Easter dinner.

I also made this cake for a friends little boy that turned 5 years old.  It was a really fun cake to do!!
